Urban Renewal was a force in US city planning which systematically destroyed many minority communities. Today's video focuses on a specific historically Black neighborhood in Oklahoma City which remains particularly damaged to this day by urban renewal efforts in the 20th century. We interviewed Vanessa Morrison, who is focused on how to sensitively rebuild neighborhoods like this one in a way which empowers the community and provides them opportunity and identity for generations to come.
